MY FIRST DAY

Wow, what a day that was!!
One minute I was all nice and cosy in the warm, minding my own business listening to the "Womb Music", the next, SPLASH!!, here I am trying to swim to the surface of some great birthing pool, no nose clip, no armbands, nothing.
The one good thing about this was as soon as I reached the surface, I had to take a breath and let them know I was here, none of that bum slapping for me.
Someone, never seen her before, then placed me on my mum, boy was I glad to see her.
I didn't say anything, but looked as if she'd had a bit of a hard day, hadn't bothered much with the makeup I thought at first glance. When I looked around I saw my Dad and Grandma Jenny looking down at me, looked as if they had had better days too.
Anyway, another good thing about this water birth lark is they don't have to clean you much, so you can get on with the first meal of the day, lovely.
After that, I thought I'd have a bit of a sleep for the rest of the night, all this mucking about and weighing in and everything tires a girl out you know.
